Phasing in Food Production

Our goal is to start building temporary greenhouses within the first phase to supply community food within a few months.  We will purchase goats to provide milk, and chickens to provide eggs, and combine this with the greenhouses hit our goal of 60% food self-sufficiency within the first 12 months.  The aquaponics greenhouse systems, that we are looking at implementing at the first site, are estimated to take no more than 6 months to build and produce high yields of continuous crops. Until we are successfully growing food, we will be buying it from local producers and suppliers with the goal of supporting sustainable and ethical practices.


Timeless Solutions will install four 16,000 square foot aquaponic food production facilities that collectively produce over 640,000 pounds of food annually.  These facilities have been estimated to provide enough volume and variety to feed over 2,500 people on an entirely vegetarian diet, and the potential to generate over $500,000 of annual revenue.

Turn-key “aquaponic/hydroponic” food systems, will complement permaculture done on the land, with the latest technologies and innovations of a production method that has high yields, stacks many functions, and is the most space and energy efficient design possible.

Even with traditional methods one person working full-time on food production can produce enough food to feed 30; with aquaponics that same person can produce enough food to feed 300.

Hydroponics is the science of growing plants in a medium, other than soil, using mixtures of the essential plant nutrient elements, dissolved in water, as “plant food.”

The hydroponics plant in our system is grown in a floating, shallow water bed filled with nutrient rich water, rather than being planted directly into the ground. It does not matter where the greenhouse is located, because soil and water quality, and outdoor conditions are irrelevant. We control the environment for optimum results.

Plant roots are fed directly and continuously with an aqueous solution containing the correct balance of plant nutrients, which are computer-monitored and introduced in micro-doses in order to provide the perfect growing conditions. Therefore, the plant is not dependent on drawing its nutrient requirements from an often-depleted soil, or wasting energy growing roots for support in the soil and reaching down to find food. Also, the plants do not suffer from the risks of inadequate rainfall and/or excessive water waste associated with irrigation or the risk of pathogens from neighboring farm contaminants.

A tightly controlled environment is created; this protects plants from adverse and unexpected weather conditions such as heavy rain, strong winds, hailstorms, frost, snow, hail, low temperatures, high heat and excessive sunlight. They are also protected from pests and plant diseases, thus avoiding pesticides and herbicide residues.

As a result, an uninterrupted supply of hydroponics products can be made available to the market throughout the year, and can boast “local grown.” We are 6-24 hours from the store shelf, save 70%-90% in water and energy, and are clean, safe and green.

Food Production/Permaculture

Community Members and those regions to which the agricultural cottage industry, exports food, will enjoy a class of Superfoods; vegetables, fruits, nuts, and herbs incorporating currently unheard of dietary diversity, nutrition, and agricultural sustainability within a single operation. The growing areas will include one-third of available agricultural acreage in fruit and nut orchards and two-thirds planted in row crops.

The growing practices will produce Superfoods with emphasis on sustainability and certified organic protocols. Cutting edge technology in the areas of seed propagation, irrigation, aquaponics, agricultural input production, soil management, crop diversity, and vital nutrient supplementation (free of synthetic fertilizers) will present a model for food-based nutrition and sustainable farming of the future. Consistently increasing consumer patronage of organic foods and ‘super-nutrition’ markets will ensure the Timeless cottage industry profitability and a sustainable source of jobs within the village. We believe that the human contribution to nurturing our crops is critical.

The Micro Green GroRak System is approximately 10 ft. x 4 ft. x 7 1/2 ft. high. The frame is constructed of aluminum angle, which is bolted together with stainless steel hardware and includes eight NSF approved wheels.
